Nashik, Sept. 10 -- With Ganesh Chaturthi approaching, artists across the country are busy creating unique and eco-friendly idols of Lord Ganesha for the 10-day festival beginning September 14.
Nashik-based artist Sanjay is known for creating miniature Ganesha idols on unusual surfaces, including fingernails, betel nuts and cassette covers. He has been making miniature idols for several years and runs both a workshop and a shop in Nashik.
Speaking about his unique craft on Thursday, Sanjay said, "I have been in this profession for more than 27 years and have made around 49,500 idols.
