Nagpur, Sept. 17 -- A constable attached to Jaripatka Police Station was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant in Nagpur, officials said on Thursday.
According to ACB officials, two constables had allegedly demanded Rs 40,000 from the complainant in return for extending help in a non-cognisable offence registered at the police station.
Following negotiations, the accused allegedly agreed to accept Rs 20,000. The complainant subsequently approached the ACB and lodged a complaint.
