Nagpur, June 25 -- The redevelopment of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur will be carried out in phases, with plans for a new integrated passenger terminal, a second runway and expanded cargo infrastructure aimed at transforming the facility into a major aviation hub for Central India.
Following the handover of the airport to GMR Nagpur International Airport Limited (GNIAL) for its development and operation, the company has prepared a comprehensive master plan focused on increasing passenger capacity, modernising infrastructure and strengthening Nagpur's position as a key aviation, logistics and cargo centre.
