Mumbai, Aug. 31 -- A 45-year-old woman, identified as Megha Rawal, was arrested by the Bandra police after an eight-year-old boy was allegedly knocked down by the SUV she was driving in Bandra West on Sunday afternoon.
The child, identified as Ansh Gupta, later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.
According to the boy's family, Ansh was walking along the side of the road when the SUV allegedly struck him. His mother, while speaking to reporters, said the child was the couple's only son and demanded justice for his death.
"He was my only child; how can she kill my child? I want justice for what happened to my son," she said.
The family has also alleged that Rawal was under the influence of alcohol and was speaking on her phone...
