Mumbai, July 26 -- The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Mumbai Customs has arrested two women passengers for allegedly attempting to smuggle 1.96 kg of suspected hydroponic cannabis into India from Bangkok, Thailand, through Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), officials said today.
Acting on specific intelligence, Customs officers intercepted the two passengers, identified as Iswarya Selvaraj (29) and Zuwairiya Rahman (29, both from Tamil Nadu), shortly after their arrival from Bangkok.
