Kolhapur, Aug. 22 -- Maharashtra Marketing and Protocol minister Jaykumar Rawal today asked farmers to not just be producers but salso become processors, brand ambassadors and exporters of their agricultural produce.
Speaking at a foundation laying ceremony of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Shetkari Bhavan building here, he said farmers' private companies, farmer producer companies and self-help groups should be established through agricultural produce market committees and promisee to provide all possible help tp them.
Rawal further said that to develop the value chain of agricultural crops in the state, major projects are being started through the Maharashtra Agri Business Network (MAGNET) scheme through the Asian Bank and about Rs 2,500 ...
