Washim, June 14 -- A 22-year-old medical aspirant allegedly jumped into a dam in front of his father in Maharashtra's Washim district, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday evening at the Adan dam bridge on the Karanja-Manora road, where Sanchit Subhash Munde (22), a resident of Kupti village in Karanja tehsil, allegedly jumped into the water while travelling with his father.
According to police, Munde, who was preparing for medical studies, is suspected to have taken the extreme step due to stress.
