Nagpur/Mumbai, May 9 -- The Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) has stayed the suspension of Nagpur Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kiran Bidkar, who had been suspended over alleged negligence linked to a fatal school vehicle accident that occurred in 2025.
Granting interim relief, the Tribunal on Friday directed the state government to submit its affidavit in reply to Bidkar's challenge against the disciplinary action initiated under the Maharashtra Civil Services Rules.
The MAT also allowed Bidkar to immediately resume his official duties.
"The suspension order shall remain stayed until further orders. The applicant be allowed to rejoin duty forthwith," the Tribunal observed in its interim order.
