Mumbai, July 14 -- A man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a minor girl in Mumbai's Samata Nagar area, police said today.
The girl's body was found on July 9 in the forest area of Damu Nagar under the Samata Nagar police station limits.
Police said the accused and the victim had known each other for the past two years. According to the investigation, the accused called the girl to the hills, saying it would be their final meeting and that he wanted to give her a final gift.
Police alleged that he asked the girl to close her eyes before attacking her with a knife. She suffered multiple stab injuries.
