Mumbai, June 28 -- A 39-year-old Pune man who was arrested after allegedly distributing poison-filled capsules at a Muharram procession in south Mumbai during interrogation confessed that he 'wanted to kill at least 15,000 people', an official attached with the investigation said here on Sunday.

Police are also investigating whether the case has any international links or possible terror angle, as the accused has travelled to Iran and Iraq prior to the arrest; hence, they are also probing potential wider involvement. Central and state agencies have also joined the investigation, the official added.
