Kolhapur, March 10 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued a heat wave warning for Ratnagiri and the entire Konkan coast in Maharashtra.

Due to the slowing down of the sea breeze coming from the Arabian Sea and the hot winds coming from the land, the mercury is likely to increase by 3 to 5 degrees above average. Therefore, it is likely that the maximum temperature in Ratnagiri will increase by 37-28 millimeters from 31 to 32 degrees Celsius. Currently, the temperature has started to increase significantly.
