Mumbai, July 28 -- The Bombay High Court today deferred till August 5 the hearing on a civil suit filed by union Minister Nitin Gadkari seeking the removal of alleged deepfake and AI-generated content linking him to the Centre's ethanol-blended fuel programme and claiming damages of Rs 11 crore for defamation.

The matter came up before Justice Arif Doctor, who directed the plaintiff to serve copies of the suit on all respondents, including Meta Platforms, X Corp, Google LLC and unidentified persons alleged to be behind the circulation of the content.
