Baramati, Aug. 2 -- The Baramati Taluka Police have registered a case against unidentified people for allegedly cheating 117 job-aspirantsof Rs 3.73 crore on the false promise of securing government jobs in various state and central government departments.
According to police, the accused lured job aspirants by claiming they could arrange appointments in departments such as Health, Forest, Water Resources, Social Welfare, ONGC, and the Railways. During the 2023-24 recruitment period, they allegedly collected application forms from candidates and demanded hefty advance payments in exchange for guaranteed government employment.
