Nagpur, March 25 -- A sharp shortage of domestic as well as commercial LPG cylinders has hit the city, triggering widespread black marketing and leaving consumers struggling to secure timely supplies.

Households are bearing the brunt as domestic cylinders, officially priced at Rs 964, are allegedly being sold in the black market for as high as Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000. The steep hike has added to the financial strain on residents.

As per Central Government norms, consumers are eligible to book a refill only 25 days after their last delivery. However, residents claim that even after booking, deliveries are delayed by another 15 to 20 days, stretching the waiting period to over a month and forcing many to seek alternatives through illegal chann...
