Washim, Oct. 14 -- Four women were arrested for allegedly robbing a 70-year-old woman of gold jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 28,000 in cash while travelling on a Maharashtra State Transport (ST) bus in Washim district, police said on Wednesday.
The stolen valuables and cash were recovered from the accused and returned to the victim, identified as Chandrakala Bodkhe, police said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when Bodkhe was travelling on an ST bus from Mangrulpir to Akola. The accused allegedly took advantage of the journey to steal gold ornaments and cash from her bag.
