Mumbai, Sept. 27 -- Four persons were killed and five others injured after a container carrying gelatin sticks exploded during welding work at a workshop in Umarkhed area of Maharashtra's Yavatmal district today, police said.
The incident took place at a welding workshop on Dhanaki Road, where a tractor used for blasting-related work had been brought for repairs.
According to police, welding work was in progress when the metal container containing gelatin sticks, which was attached to the tractor, suddenly exploded. The blast triggered a fire and caused serious burn injuries to people present at the workshop.
