Kolhapur, July 20 -- In a major breakthrough, Cyber cell of city police has busted an inter-state gang with arrest of five members from neighbouring state of Gujarat for allegedly defrauding Unity Motors Company in Gokul-Shirgaon of the district of Rs 2.36 crore, in the name of the company's CEO.
An official press release here today said that, in a massive operation in Gujarat, Cyber police arrested five members of an inter-state gang, who were involved in Rs 2.36 crore worth scam in the name of CEO and transferred the proceeds of crime to bank accounts across the country.
In this case, the accused contacted the company manager using the name of the company's CEO and instructed him to immediately send the money for the new contract. After...
