Latur, May 4 -- A striking road safety awareness initiative has been launched in Ausa of Latur district, where police have adopted an unconventional yet impactful method to curb fatal accidents caused by overspeeding and traffic violations.
Acting on the concept introduced by Superintendent of Police Amol Tambe, the Ausa police displayed a severely damaged luxury car involved in a deadly crash to deliver a powerful public message.
The initiative stems from a tragic incident that occurred on 6 March, when a speeding BMW car met with a horrific accident on the Ausa-Tuljapur highway, resulting in the instant death of four occupants.
