Nagpur, June 27 -- : A 24-year-old woman was allegedly hacked to death by her estranged husband on a busy road in Maharashtra's Kamptee town, with police launching a manhunt to trace the accused, officials said on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Manju Pachare, had been living with her parents after separating from her husband, Sandip Ramoji Pachare (31), following alleged domestic abuse.
According to police just a day after the Family Court in Wardha granted a divorce decree, the woman was brutally murdered after being repeatedly stabbed with a knife on the busy Kamptee Road in Nagpur.
The incident occurred on Friday evening when the accused allegedly intercepted Manju while she was on her way to the local market.
