Buldhana, May 30 -- In a startling turn of events in a purported murder case in Maharashtra's Buldhana district, a woman believed to be dead was found alive, exposing a major lapse in police investigation and prompting the transfer of two police personnel, officials said today.
The case pertains to Jalgaon Jamod in Buldhana district, where police had allegedly identified a headless and partially burnt body recovered from the Rajura Shivaar area as that of missing woman Shivani Kalamekar without waiting for DNA or forensic confirmation.
