Buldhana, March 18 -- A crane operator allegedly died by suicide in Goshing village of Motala taluka in Maharashtra's Buldhana district, police said on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Salman Khan Ameer Khan Pathan, a resident of Shirpur, was found hanging from a Hydra crane at a well construction site on Tuesday evening, creating panic in the area.
Before taking the extreme step, he reportedly wrote a message on his hand stating, "Take care of my mother and children," which has drawn attention to his personal circumstances.
Police said Pathan had been working at the site for the past five to six days. He is survived by his mother, wife and children.
