Pune, July 5 -- A boundary wall of Samruddhi Lake Society on Jambhulwadi Road in Pune collapsed early today following continuous heavy rain over the past couple of days, trapping 14 vehicles under the debris. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
The incident occurred around 3:24 a.m., when the wall fell onto the society's parking shed, burying seven four-wheelers and as many two-wheelers beneath the rubble, said police.
Upon receiving information about the incident, teams from the Katraj and Sinhagad Fire Stations rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation under the guidance of In-charge Deputy Fire Officer Santosh Bhilare.
