Washim, Aug. 20 -- : The bodies of a 26-year-old youth and a 16-year-old girl, who had reportedly been missing for the past five days, were recovered from the Morna reservoir in Malegaon taluka of Maharashtra's Washim district, police said on Thursday.
The incident came to light on Tuesday evening when some local residents visiting the reservoir for fishing spotted two bodies floating in the water. They immediately alerted the Malegaon police.
A police team rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies from the reservoir before shifting them to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared both victims dead.
The deceased have been identified as Mahadev Nimbalkar (26) and Nikita Kamble (16), both residents of Malegaon.
