Mumbai, May 9 -- The issue of pre-monsoon nullah cleaning and desilting work within the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation limits was highlighted by BJP leader and former corporator Navnath Ban, while a call for urgent civic action was also made ahead of the rainy season.
In a post on social media platform X, he stated that nullah cleaning work in Mumbai should be carried out "speedily" before the monsoon. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation was urged to take "strict steps" so that citizens would not be forced to face flood-like situations during heavy rainfall.
