Mumbai, July 11 -- BJP MLC Pravin Darekar today hit back at ally Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader Bachchu Kadu over his remarks suggesting that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should move to national politics and that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was the only alternative to lead Maharashtra.

Calling Kadu's comments 'irresponsible', Darekar said there was no need to create unnecessary controversy when the Mahayuti government was functioning smoothly under the leadership of Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar of NCP (AP).
