Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- The political atmosphere in Maharashtra has heated up following actor Sanjay Dutt's remarks on the Marathi language, with BJP MLA Narendra Mehta taking aim at Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik over the issue.
Mehta questioned the apparent difference in approach towards celebrities and ordinary autorickshaw drivers on the Marathi language issue, asking, "You laugh when an artist says he does not know Marathi, but threaten autorickshaw drivers over the language. What kind of justice is this?"The remarks have once again brought differences within the ruling Mahayuti alliance to the fore.
