Nagpur, May 9 -- A Jhalmuri festival celebrating Bengal's popular street snack was organised in city today to mark the BJP forming the government in West Bengal.
The event, held in connection with the BJP government's oath-taking ceremony, aimed to introduce the people of Nagpur to Bengali cuisine and culture through the traditional delicacy.
The festival was organised by noted Maharashtrian chef Vishnu Manohar, who said nearly 700 to 800 kg of Jhalmuri was prepared for the occasion, enough to serve around 2,000 to 2,500 people.
A large number of people attended the event and enthusiastically enjoyed the dish.
