Nashik, April 13 -- Taking cognizance of the gravity of the alleged irregularities observed in implementation of 20 per cent MHADA quot reserved for Economically Weake r Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Groups (LIG) in city, Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule today announced the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT), comprising high-ranking officials, to probe alleged irregularities.
Issuing a stern warning that "no individual-no matter how influential-who exploits the poor or usurps their rights will be spared", he said that the SIT would conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter over the coming month.
