Amravati, July 18 -- : As many as 415 farmers ended their lives in Maharashtra's Amravati division during the first six months of 2026, according to official data released on Saturday.

Figures from the office of the Amravati Divisional Commissioner showed that June recorded the highest monthly toll, with 82 farmer suicides.

The division reported 62 suicides in January, 64 in February, 68 in March, 76 in April, 63 in May and 82 in June.

Among the five districts, Yavatmal accounted for the highest number of farmer suicides at 128, followed by Akola (80), Amravati (76), Buldhana (69) and Washim (62).
