Mumbai, Sept. 12 -- Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel's parents' residence in South Mumbai's Churchgate area became the centre of a jewellery theft case after Mumbai Police arrested a 40-year-old domestic help for allegedly stealing diamond-studded gold jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Seema Ghate, a resident of Palghar, who had been working as a domestic help at the residence of Ameesha's mother Asha Patel for around one-and-a-half years.
According to Marine Drive police, the alleged theft took place in January 2026 when a diamond-studded gold bangle worth approximately Rs 5 lakh went missing from the house.
