Buldhana, June 8 -- At least 25 passengers sustained injuries after a private bus rammed into a truck on the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra's Buldhana district in the early hours of Monday, police officials said.

The accident took place near Pimpri Mali village around 4 am when the Pune-bound bus travelling towards Nagpur allegedly hit the rear side of a truck moving ahead on the expressway, officials said.

According to police, 25 passengers suffered injuries in the mishap, of whom two are reported to be in critical condition.

All the injured were shifted to a hospital in Mehkar for medical treatment.
