Chennai, July 27 -- In what is seen as a first ever major setback to the ruling TVK headed by Chief Minister Vijay, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Monday evening quashed the government jobs offered to the members of the Karur stampede victims.

Passing orders on a batch of PILs filed by Naam Thamizhar Katchi and others challenging the Vijay government's decision to offer government jobs, the Court also quashed the Government Order (GO) issued in this regard.
