Chennai, April 27 -- The Madras High Court on Monday dismissed a fresh petition seeking a probe into the Rs 12.60 crore loan details to hsi estranged wife, declared by TVK leader and actor-politician Vijay in his affidavits submitted while filing nominations from two seats for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

The plea was filed by a Perambur-based electorate Venkatesh, who raised specific objections over certain financial disclosures and pointed to the loan of Rs 12.6 crore reportedly extended to Vijay's wife, Sangeetha, questioning the legitimacy and timing of the transaction, particularly in the context of ongoing personal legal proceedings.
