Chennai, Sept. 26 -- The Madras High Court has dismissed a petition filed by J. Surendran, the son of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran's (MGR) wife V.N. Janaki Ramachandran seeking ownership of MGR's property in Tiruchirapalli.
The plea sought ownership and Letters of Administration regarding an immovable property belonging to late MGR located in Trichy.
Passing orders, Ms.Justice A.D. Maria Clete dismissed the application on grounds of failure to establish legal succession and notedthata petition for Letters of Administration cannot adjudicate complex property titles.
The petitioner has not produced any property-tax assessment, revenue record, patta, municipal record or other document from the competent local authority...
