Thiruvananthapuram, May 27 -- CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby has strongly criticised the Enforcement Directorate (ED) searches conducted at multiple locations in Kerala, including premises linked to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, alleging that the action is politically motivated and part of a pattern of selective targeting against the Left Democratic Front (LDF).

Reacting to the reports of ED raids, MA Baby said such investigative actions are increasingly being used as instruments of political pressure rather than purely legal enforcement.

He opined that the timing and manner of the searches were aimed at creating political confusion in the state.
