Chandigarh, Aug. 18 -- A birthday outing ended in gunfire in the heart of Ludhiana, leaving a young photographer dead and another man seriously injured after an argument involving a group travelling in vehicles, according to people who witnessed the incident.
The shooting took place near the Main Ghantaghar Chowk late on Monday night. Witnesses said the attackers arrived in a vehicle, opened fire and escaped within minutes.
The dead man was a local photographer who also worked in video editing. He had gone out with friends for a birthday celebration shortly before the shooting, his family said.
