Neeraj BaliChandigarh, Aug. 19 -- Three bullets were fired inside a pizza outlet in Ludhiana's BRS Nagar in barely three seconds, turning a busy upscale locality into the latest flashpoint in Punjab's law-and-order debate.

The shooting has also triggered a political attack on the Bhagwant Mann government, with Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring questioning how armed men were able to carry out such an attack in a prominent part of the city.

CCTV footage from the outlet shows two men entering the premises. One pulled out a pistol and fired three rounds in quick succession before the attackers ran out and escaped on a motorcycle with a third associate, police said.
