Lucknow, March 26 -- The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has uncovered a major examination fraud racket in Lucknow, arresting nine accused involved in manipulating the CBSE-conducted EMRS (Eklavya Model Residential Schools) recruitment exam.

According to DSP Vimal Kumar Singh, the CBSE was conducting the Tier-2 examination for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant from March 22 to 25. To prevent malpractice, STF teams were deployed across examination centres.

During this period, officials received intelligence about a gang operating across Jhansi, Jalaun, and nearby districts, allegedly exploiting the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) quota through forged certificates.
