Lucknow, July 27 -- The Lucknow Division of Northern Railway has achieved another remarkable feat in cargo train operations, setting a new record by operating an NMG automobile train at superfast train speed.
The train covered the 456-kilometer distance from Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Junction (DDU) to Roza (ROZA) in 8 hours and 15 minutes, achieving an average speed of 55 km/h. This NMG rake was operated by a single crew, marking an outstanding achievement in freight train operations.
Superfast trains typically reach an average speed of 55 km/h or more. This achievement was achieved under the leadership of Divisional Railway Manager Sunil Kumar Verma.
