New Delhi, July 31 -- The Lok Sabha is scheduled to take up a motion on Friday seeking an extension of time for the presentation of the report of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) examining three key bills that propose the automatic removal of the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers and Ministers if they remain in judicial custody for 30 consecutive days in connection with serious criminal charges.
According to the List of Business for the Lok Sabha, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Aparajita Sarangi, who chairs the 31-member Joint Parliamentary Committee, and BJP MP Vishnu Dayal Ram will move a motion requesting the House to extend the deadline for the panel to submit its report.
