Phagwara, June 21 -- Lovely Professional University (LPU) marked International Day of Yoga with a large-scale programme on Sunday, bringing together around 12,000 participants under a special "12-12-12" theme to commemorate 12 years of the global observance and promote this year's theme, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing."The event was led by LPU Chancellor and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal and attended by BJP National President and Rajya Sabha MP Nitin Nabin as the chief guest.
Students, faculty members, social leaders, public representatives and residents from different parts of the region participated in the yoga session, making it one of the major International Yoga Day events held in Punjab.
