Mangaluru, March 26 -- The LPG vessel Apollo Ocean arrived at New Mangalore Port on Thursday, bringing a significant consignment of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

The shipment is expected to ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG to Karnataka and neighbouring southern states, officials said.

Port authorities confirmed that unloading operations will commence immediately under strict safety and security protocols. The arrival of Apollo Ocean comes on the heels of several recent LPG and crude shipments from the United States and Russia, highlighting India's efforts to safeguard domestic fuel supplies despite global disruptions.
