Ranchi, June 7 -- Jharkhand Congress on Sunday opposed the recent increase in domestic LPG cylinder prices and demanded that the Centre immediately roll back the hike.

State Congress spokesperson Rishikesh Singh said the increase of Rs 29 per 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder and Rs 10.50 per 5-kg cylinder would further burden consumers already affected by rising prices of essential commodities.

He alleged that the continued rise in cooking gas, petrol and diesel prices had adversely impacted household budgets and increased the financial burden on common people.
