Glasgow, Aug. 1 -- India continued its impressive run at the Commonwealth Games as Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain and rising star Sachin Siwach advanced to the boxing finals, while Tejaswin Shankar etched his name in history by becoming the first Indian to win a medal in the men's decathlon.
Lovlina, competing in the women's 75kg category, delivered another composed and authoritative performance to storm into the gold-medal bout. The Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist and former world champion, who had received a bye into the semifinals, dominated her contest with sharp combinations and superior ringcraft to remain on course for her maiden Commonwealth Games gold.
