Panchkula, Sept. 23 -- Haryana Police have stepped up enforcement against loud music and noise pollution, warning that DJ and loudspeaker use beyond 10 pm at weddings and other functions will invite legal action.
The directions have been issued to all station house officers and police post in-charges in Jhajjar district in compliance with the instructions of Haryana Director General of Police Ajay Singhal, a police spokesperson said.
Under the directions, playing DJs or loudspeakers after 10 PM is prohibited, and violations will attract action under the applicable law. The police have also appealed to the public to report violations through Dial 112, following which local police will reach the spot and take necessary action.
