Shimla, April 9 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday accused the Sukhu government of making contradictory claims regarding alleged irregularities in the Himcare health scheme and attempting to create grounds to shut down the programme introduced during the previous BJP regime.
Addressing a protest rally at Bali Chowki in Seraj Assembly constituency of Mandi district against the Congress government, Thakur alleged that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was making repeated statements to tarnish the image of the Himcare scheme, which he claimed had benefitted more than 11 lakh people by providing medical treatment.
