Shimla, March 23 -- Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday claimed that Himachal Pradesh has received significantly higher Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) under the NDA government compared to the UPA, accusing the present Congress government of misrepresenting facts for political mileage.
Participating in the budget discussion on the state budget presented by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Thakur said that while the state received about Rs 18,000 crore as RDG during the UPA regime, the figure rose to nearly Rs 89,000 crore under the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
