Bijnor/Lucknow, April 8 -- The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has issued a Look-Out Circular (LOC) against Aqib, a suspected terror handler currently believed to be residing in Dubai. Authorities have also written to the Ministry of External Affairs seeking cancellation of his passport.
The move aims to ensure that security agencies are alerted immediately if Aqib attempts to enter India, officials said on Wednesday.
According to officials, Aqib played a key role in connecting Saqib-who was recently arrested in Lucknow on suspicion of terror activities-and several youths from western Uttar Pradesh with handlers based in Pakistan.
Investigations suggest that these connections were facilitated online.
