Chennai, June 20 -- Weeks after supporting the TVK government and joining the Vijay Cabinet, leading Muslim outfit, the Indian union Muslim League (IUML) on Saturday formally walked out of the DMK-led alliance.
IUML was said to be the most trusted aly of the DMK, which has made it a point to ink seat sharing agreements with partners, starting with IUML.
A decision to end its long standing association with the DMK was taken at the IUML's General Council meeting here today, Party National President K M Khader Mohideen told reporters after the meeting.
IUML is the latest party to snap ties with the DMK after its key allies Congress, VCK, CPI, CPI-M, had switched sides and supported Chief Minister Vijay after TVK emerged as the single larges...
