New Delhi, July 18 -- Lok Sabha Speaker and Chairperson of the All India Presiding Officers' Conference (AIPOC) Om Birla has constituted a 10-member high-level committee to develop a National Legislative Index, an initiative aimed at benchmarking the performance of legislative bodies across the country through objective parameters.
According to sources, the committee has been constituted in pursuance of Resolution No. 6, which was unanimously adopted during the 86th All India Presiding Officers' Conference (AIPOC) held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from January 19 to 21.
